We also provide assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with acute or chronic medical illnesses as well as other conditions, such as epilepsy, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, obesity, and traumatic injuries, to address co-occurring mental health issues that children with these conditions often face. We have developed evidence-based, disease-specific assessment and treatment programs to address conditions, such as autism spectrum disorders anxiety disorders, including social phobia, specific phobias, separation anxiety, generalized anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder depression, including self-injury and suicide attempts and post-traumatic stress. Working in collaboration with the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the Texas Child Study Center, housed at Dell Children’s Medical Center, diagnoses, treats, and manages the care for children and adolescents of all ages with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities. The Texas Child Study Center is a specialty program within UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin.
